Any fish caught over 100lbs will stay with the boat and not be cut. Any fish under 100lbs will be cut and split 50/50 with a max of 50lbs leaving the boat. All fish cutting is ultimately at the captain’s discretion. Make sure to ask for homestyle recipes!

NIGHT RUNNER - 38' Custom Sport Fishing Boat
Night Runner Sport Fishing is located in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island. Fishing in Kona is a wonderful way to spend the day and see the Island from a different angle. Kona is the big game fishing capital of the world, and with beautiful calm waters here, anyone can enjoy a deep-sea fishing experience. Giant Blue Marlin can be caught all year round as well as Mahi Mahi, Yellow fin Tuna, Wahoo, and numerous other species.
We also do bottom fishing for Giant Trevally, Amberjack, Snapper, Shark, and a wide variety of other creatures of the deep. We offer so many options there is little excuse for not catching fish. We offer overnight fishing trips and custom combo trips if the gang feels like breaking up the day with a bit of snorkeling on some of Kona's perfect reefs.
We own and operate this charter boat so rest assured that you will get the attention you deserve as my reputation is always on the line. We take great pride in running a clean comfortable operation. Kids are very welcome aboard and we love to see the excitement of youngsters pulling on a fish of their dreams. 1-4 Passengers.

You will need to bring any food and drinks you want to enjoy. We have an ice box on board for your use. Sunscreen is highly recomended as well as a camera to capture all the action. We provide all the tackle, bait and ice you will need.

Any tuna caught over 60lb stays with boat. Tuna caught under 60lb will be cut and split at the captain discretions.

FISH POLICY
We have a catch-and-release policy for all billfish that come to the boat healthy enough for release. For other fish, we are happy to cut you some fillets for your use while on the island. This is at the captain’s discretion, however, as a large fish might become unsellable if it is cut. Most charter boats in Kona keep the catch, as this is part of the income of the captain and crew. If you are intent on catching something for your dinner, let Captain Ryan know.
